About the author
Brian Young is a novelist who believes the best stories live in the spaces between what we know and what we imagine.
Brian grew up in Utah hiking, camping, and searching the High Uintas, the same mountains that provide the dramatic backdrop for The Sacred Vein. Those formative years exploring wilderness trails and hearing legends of lost Spanish gold planted the seeds of the Sacred Vein series, a historical adventure saga that blends treasure hunting, indigenous rights, and the wild landscapes of the American West.
He spent eight years in Seattle, where he developed a deep love of hiking the trails of the Pacific Northwest. The misty woods, the sense that something ancient might be watching from just beyond the tree line, the way the wilderness holds secrets it isn't ready to share: all of it found its way onto the page. Those years hiking the PNW trails became the inspiration for the Sophia Sprite series.
When he's not writing, Brian can be found tending to his collection of Funko Pops, watching the Chicago Sky in the WNBA, and working on home improvement projects that always seem to take longer than planned. He currently lives in Chicago with a deep appreciation for a good story, a well-crafted sentence, and the possibility that there's more to the world than meets the eye.
